User Experience Engineer, Los Angeles

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Design teams
  • Developing user flows and/or wireframes for promotions
  • Generating static content for the web from photoshop files
  • Develop and implement front-end code (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript)
  • Test user experience in multiple browsers and environments
  • Commit changes to version control repositories (svn & git)
  • Create & manage documentation related to your code (Confluence)
  • Deploy code to production environments
  • Manage tasks in issue tracking software (JIRA)

Requirements

  • Experience developing front-end for the web in a fast-paced team environment
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
  • Experienced in building AJAX web applications with RESTful API integration
  • Expert in developing for the web (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Expert in modern web frameworks/tools (jQuery, LESS, HTML5/CSS3, etc.)
  • Intermediate to Expert in one or more server-side script language (Python/PHP/Perl)
  • Very comfortable working within in LAMP server environments
  • Experience with version controls systems (svn & git)
  • Very comfortable using Mac OSX
  • Able to self-motivate, prioritize, and communicate commitments, timelines & deliverables
  • Experience with Lean/Agile/Kanban/iterative development practices is a plus
  • BS in Computer Science is a plus
