UI/Graphic Designer at Disney Interactive, LA

We are look for an interface designer – with a solid grasp of HCI design principals and user-centered interaction design – to tackle challenges in building interfaces for both adults and kids. You will work with the product team generating hypotheses, conducting user tests, designing prototypes, and creating final assets for web and devices. You’ll work independently and alongside our team members to learn about our social platform, the needs and wants of kids, and how to inspire the trust of parents –with good design.


  • Work closely with the product team to make products come to life and serve as a go-to person for user
  • interface design supporting great experiences
  • Produce and update interface design specifications and other documentation
  • Work with the development team throughout the development & lifecycle of applications
  • Observe & analyze user testing, and recommend alternate design solutions
  • Work cross functionally to accomplish launch and marketing efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • Online portfolio of innovative and inspired design
  • Thorough knowledge user interface design and theory
  • Demonstrated proficiency with designing effective and user-friendly interfaces
  • User-centered design: planning and conducting in-person and virtual user-tests
  • Strong written and verbal communication with internal team, executives and customers
  • Enthusiasm for kids technology
  • Personality to handle multiple responsibilities, collaborate and excel in small team environment
  • High integrity, strong organization skills and the ability to estimate/deliver on those estimates
  • Excellent visualization skills for web and mobile assets, mock-ups, use cases, and layouts using
  • Photoshop CS
  • BA Degree

Preferred Qualifications
3-5+ years of designing and producing graphics and user interfaces
Rapid prototyping using paper and mock-up tools like Axure, Balsamiq and Skitch
