Main purpose of the UX Developer role:

A talented Front End Developer will work in a team environment in the design and execution of web and mobile products. A good fit would be a developer who will be involved with the entire lifecycle of our products, from providing strategy to architectural implementation and can execute quickly while still following best practices.


The Details:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with the design and backend teams, help make architectural decision and implementation
  • Develop scalable, clean, and semantic code from mockups
  • Develop new user-facing features, along with defining, integrating, testing, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing features
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • Optimize for maximum site performance, speed and scalability
  • Proficient understanding responsiveness, breakpoints vs. fluidity, and all the issues that may arise when making designs work across devices
  • Utilize online resources to get over any development hurdles encountered
  • Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability and emerging technologies

Required competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
  • Knowledge of Front End Frameworks
  • Comfortability writing technical specs and maintaining documentation
  • Familiarity with testing and developing across multiple devices/platforms and browsers
  • Understanding of client-side scripting and with JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Excellent HTML5, CSS3, LESS/SASS experience


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or combination of experience with high quality samples


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design sensibilities
  • E-commerce apparel experience
  • NodeJs and NPM experience
  • Experience with Terminal
  • Agilge/Scrum Developmental Methodologies
  • Experience with Jira or any other issue tracking/project management systems
